Border Fence Project
The Border Fence Project (BFP) is a non-profit organization founded by Jim Wood in 2004. Jim Wood is one of the original Minutemen and a weekly visitor to the Mexican border, as well as a 3-year active veteran of the immigration reform movement. Border Fence Project is working in various arenas to build fencing along the border in an effort to help stop the ever escalating tide of illegal immigration, terrorism, and drug smuggling.
The Richard Norman Company has worked with Border Fence Project since 2006, mailing over 2 million activist-oriented mail pieces. Each of these letters served to educate the public on their cause and to encourage them to take a specific action, often via a petition drive. This effort has not only resulted in significant victories in Congress (including the Border Fence Act), but has also raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to assist BFP in their fence-building endeavors.
