Tea Party Patriots
The Tea Party Patriots are the national coordinating organization made up of more than 2,900 grassroots Tea Party organizations across the country and in several foreign countries. Founded in May 2009 by Jenny Beth Martin and Mark Meckler, TPP is a “bottom-up” organization that is run by the grassroots and directed by a national board of directors.
As a 501(c)(4) grassroots lobby, Tea Party Patriots does not select, endorse nor contribute to candidates rather their goal is to promote grassroots lobbying by their membership. Their three core values are 10 Constitutionally-limited government; 2) Free markets; and 3) Fiscal responsibility. TPP seeks to promote grassroots lobbying on these three core values by their website, email blasts, telephone-town halls and their famous Tea Party rallies.
Tea Party Patriots boasts over 100,000 contributors and more than three million members and is one of America’s largest grassroots lobbying organizations.
