Kevin Allen

Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

Kevin was born in Shenandoah, Iowa and lived there until moving to Oregon at the age of three. He attended Dallas, Oregon, public schools where he graduated from high school in 1984. He then attended Briercrest Bible College in Saskatchewan, Canada, and finished at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, where he obtained a degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics.
Kevin entered the field of direct mail fundraising immediately upon graduation from college in July of 1989. He served on the election campaign staff of Congressman Mark Siljander’s from March until June of 1992. After the campaign, Kevin became the Director of Marketing for Citizen’s United, a conservative public interest lobby group based in Fairfax, Virginia, where he managed the direct mail and telemarketing programs of a multi-million dollar operation.

After seven years in the fundraising business, Kevin joined The Richard Norman Company in 1994.  He currently serves as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Kevin oversees the overall strategy for all of the agency's mail programs.  This includes recommending all tests, continuations and house mailing schedules for clients.

Kevin has an extensive background in direct mail fundraising including work in the areas of scheduling, list selection, package concepts, copy writing, graphic arts, caging and data maintenance. Kevin’s extensive background in direct mail, telemarketing, print and broadcast media makes him a tremendous asset to The Richard Norman Company as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Kevin supervises all of the agency’s mail programs and determines all quantities for tests, continuations and house mailing schedules for clients.

Kevin has a keen interest in politics. While in college, he served as an intern for the Kemp for President campaign (1988), and was active in College Republicans. He was elected as an alternate delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1992. He is active in the Right to Life movement, served as co-chairman of the Briercrest Students for Life, and has served in numerous capacities for Young Republicans, the Arlington and Fairfax County Republican Party, as well as the Eighth and Tenth District Republican Committees. He is an active supporter of the Capitol Hill Crisis Pregnancy Center.

Kevin and his wife, Michele, their nine-year-old son, Blake, and two-year old daughter, Shannon, live in Fairfax, Virginia. They are active members of the St. Veronica Catholic Church. Kevin enjoys surfing the Internet, playing with his children, helping to coach his son’s hockey teams and watching sports.
